Fantastic $30 Map-Making Humble Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

After a short availability earlier this year, this cartography software collection is back with an encore that lasts until Dec. 2. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools developed by ProFantasy Software over the years, the entire collection is valued at more than thirteen hundred dollars. Additionally, there exist three different bundles offered in this deal.

The Main Attraction

The big draw is certainly permanent access to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard mapping application that can be used to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, urban layouts, and most notably, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

Package Levels

Basic Package

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, more than two dozen top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight complete urban centers, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-product collection starting at fifteen dollars offers enhanced value by adding in permanent CC3+ access, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. Cartographer's Annual is the yearly bundle from ProFantasy's ongoing subscription program which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and additional utilities. The Isometric Cities enables display cities with an extra dimension using angled views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is a 760-page suitable for novices and experts, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.

All 17 volumes of Cartographer's Annual come with this bundle, alongside a slew of other resource and asset packs enabling creators to design entire planets or galaxies, or just go all-in on classic fantasy realm creation: combat arenas, dungeons, cities, and land masses from almost any perspective. You can even design character portraits. For $30 as opposed to $15, the full bundle is so worth it, particularly for mappers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. But it's obviously more advantageous for map-making newbies considering you even get introductory guides to facilitate learning. The sole limitation though the purchase is available on any platform, the software is only usable on Windows.

Philanthropic Aspect

As with other Humble Bundles, a portion of each sale supports charitable organizations. For this one, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response.
